Rod De Spong, Chief Financial Officer of Douglas Pharma presented his experiences over the past 12 months with using SCOR: “SCOR Delivers Significant Benefits to New Zealand’s Largest Pharmaceutical Company” this morning.

The case study provides a clear insight in approach and results of the Supply Chain Excellence program Douglas Pharma executed. Douglas Pharma choose to have an external director sponsor the program:

“The owner and existing management recognized it’s experience in supply chain is limited to working many years in Douglas Pharma only. By bringing in an external program sponsor we got external expertize [in the leadership of the program] that we did not have in our company”.

The speaker addressed the benefits of a SCOR project from the view of the CFO.
